Why Get Trained
We train and mobilize to meet the urgent physical, spiritual, and emotional needs around the world, fulfilling the Great Commission in times of crisis and disaster. That calling starts right where you are.
Most crisis moments never make the news. You might be helping a neighbor after a car accident or serving a family after a house fire. You’ll learn how to step in, bring calm, and pray with people when it matters most.
People in crisis carry more than physical needs. You’ll be equipped to meet practical needs and care for the emotional and spiritual wounds people are carrying, with the hope of Jesus at the center.
In the U.S., CRI teams deploy with mobile kitchens, debris removal equipment, and chaplaincy support. Internationally, we send medical teams, provide refugee care, and meet life sustaining needs. There’s a role for you in this mission.

Our Story
After the 9/11 terror attacks, New York native Sean Malone, then working in the film industry, responded to Ground Zero by using movie lights to support response efforts. That experience led him to found Crisis Response International, an organization dedicated to training and mobilizing tens of thousands of volunteers to bring relief, hope, and transformation to communities facing crises and disasters worldwide.
Now CRI Responder Training comes home to Long Island.

Take the First Step
